Meet Sissy Carroll, the artist behind Little Margaret's Studio. As a retired elementary school art teacher turned oil painter, Sissy's vibrant artwork reflects her deep connection to the Pee Dee region, where tobacco farming and the warmth of its people have inspired her art. A native of Darlington, South Carolina, Sissy now resides in Murrells Inlet. Her artwork is featured at the Georgetown Art Gallery in Georgetown, SC, a testament to her love of her roots and the dedication she pours into her craft every day.
The greeting cards you see today are created by Little Margaret – that's Sissy, with all her humor, warmth, and precocious personality shining through. Many of her doodles and card ideas draw on personal experiences from her past, making the connection to these cards uniquely personal and fun. Little Margaret is full of joy and humor, and her cards are infused with the same spirit that makes her art so special.
Through Little Margaret's Studio, Sissy aims to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. With the help of her daughter Marian, who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, Sissy is excited to share her art and personality with you. Sissy and her husband, Jim, are proud parents of two grown children, Russell and Marian. Her cards are a labor of love, inspired by her life and her roots in South Carolina.
